1) Does this Pro-Lok patio door lock stop the door from being lifted out of the track?
It does. The EPL-105 uses a steel latch lever and bolt that blocks both sliding and lifting of the panel, which is the usual way a sliding door gets defeated even when the factory latch is engaged.
2) Can I leave a sliding door cracked open for air and still lock it?
Yes, that is the point of the adjustable setting. The EPL-105 can be set for ventilation with the door partly open, or for full security with it closed. The foot-operated lever drives the bolt and the key locks it in that position, so a tenant can vent a room without leaving the door free to slide.
3) Can this be used on an interior sliding door, not just an exterior patio slider?
Yes. The EPL-105 is rated for interior or exterior sliding doors, so it works on a patio slider, a sliding closet or room divider, or an interior slider in a commercial space, as long as the panel is 1-3/8 to 1-3/4 inches thick and the fixed-panel rail can take a 1/4 inch hole.

Two keys ship with the lock. It is ordered as model EPL-105-AL in an aluminum finish. You will need a drill to make the 1/4 inch hole in the fixed-panel rail; that hole is the only prep required.
