Yes. The large rectangular Pro-Lok keyed patio door lock is built for doors 1-3/8 to 1-3/4 inches thick, so a standard 1-3/4 inch sliding panel is inside its range. The housing measures 6 x 1-1/8 inches, so you need that much flat run on the sliding panel rail to land it.
2) What do I have to drill to install a Pro-Lok keyed patio door lock?
One 1/4 inch hole in the fixed-panel rail. The pin on the keyed rectangular patio lock drops into that hole, so the drilling happens on the fixed panel, not the moving one. Pro-Lok publishes an installation guide for the EPL-106 if you want the layout before you cut.
3) Can I leave a sliding door cracked for air and still lock it?
