1) I have a strike with radius (round) corner cutout in the frame. Can I use this plate?
No. This RCI plate is a square corner profile, so it needs a square cutout in the frame. A radius corner prep will leave gaps at the corners. For a rounded cutout you need the radius corner version of the 4/7 Series faceplate instead.
2) Is this the whole electric strike or just the cover plate?
Just the plate. The B4714-32D is a replacement faceplate only, with no strike body, solenoid, or keeper included. You install it on an existing RCI 4 or 7 Series strike, so the strike itself has to be in place and working.
3) My HES strike faceplate is damaged. Does the RCI B4714 work as a substitute?
No, faceplates are not interchangeable across brands. For HES strikes, use the faceplate set for your specific series: HES 1006 Series, HES 5000/5200 Series, HES 7000 Series, or the Folger Adam 310-4 Series plates.
