RCI RCI-B4719-32D – Frequently Asked Questions

1) My existing strike faceplate has radius corners. Can I use the B4719 to replace it?
No. The B4719 is a square corner plate. A frame prepped for a radius corner plate will leave gaps at the corners if you drop a square plate into it, so you want a square-corner cutout (or a frame you are re-prepping) for this one.
2) I have HES strikes in the building, not RCI. What faceplate do I order?
Stay within the brand and series of the strike body. ZenSupply carries HES faceplates by series: 1006 Series, Folger Adam 310-4 Series, 5000/5200 Series and 7000 Series. Note the HES 7000 Series is a different product from the RCI 7 Series, so do not cross them. The RCI B4719 only serves RCI 4 and 7 Series bodies.
3) Can an HES faceplate be used on an RCI 4 or 7 Series electric strike?
No. The RCI B4719-32D faceplate is built for RCI 4 and 7 Series electric strikes, and HES publishes its own faceplate programs tied to specific HES bodies - the 1006 Series, the Folger Adam 310 Series, the 5000/5200 Series and the 7000 Series each have their own standard and specialty faceplates. A faceplate cut for an HES 5000 body will not line up with the RCI strike keeper and cutout. Match the faceplate to the strike brand and series already in the frame.
4) What does the 32D in RCI B4719-32D mean?
32D is the satin stainless steel finish. On the B4719 faceplate that gives a brushed, non-reflective stainless face that holds up in high-traffic commercial frames and matches most satin stainless door hardware already on the opening.
5) I need a different faceplate size or corner style than 1-3/8 x 9 with square corners - where do I look?
The RCI B4719-32D is a fixed 1-3/8 inch by 9 inch square-corner plate in satin stainless, so a different length or a radius corner means a different part. The HES programs are each offered as standard and specialty faceplates within their series - 1006, Folger Adam 310, 5000/5200 and 7000 - which is where alternate plate configurations live for those strike bodies. For other RCI 4 and 7 Series plate options, the RCI product catalog lists the faceplate range.
6) Is this an RCI part suitable for a residential door?
It is a commercial part. The B4719 is built for commercial access control openings, office, school, healthcare, retail and government frames, where the strike is cycled constantly. For a house door it is more plate than the opening needs.
