For a Dortronics 1100 Series lock mounted at the header, the 8-1/4 inch header mounting angle (L) bracket is the corresponding part. Match the bracket to both the lock series and the surface it is landing on.
2) Is the ROFU 21035 bracket an electrified part, or just a mounting accessory?
It is a purely mechanical mounting accessory. The 21035 bracket carries no electronics and no wiring of its own; it is a bracket that supports an electromagnetic lock installation, so all power and control still comes from the maglock and its power supply. Nothing on the bracket needs to be connected.
3) Why would I need an L-bracket at all instead of mounting the maglock straight to the frame?
