The Titan uses a motor-driven blocking device: retraction and extension of the lock bolt is controlled by the movement of the safe's bolt work, not by the lock itself driving the container open. That matters if you were expecting a lock that throws the boltwork for you, because here the handle or bolt work still does the mechanical work. The lock bolt withstands 225 lbs of bolt end pressure, which is what makes it usable behind heavy bolt work and locking bars.
4) Which keypad comes with the Sargent & Greenleaf Titan Pivotbolt in chrome?
This one is the Pivotbolt keypad in Bright Chrome, MPN YBLED60/PCT. Across the Titan line the keypad choices are a one-battery keypad, a two-battery keypad, and a non-rotating low profile keypad. Note that direct drive is offered only in the low profile rotating keypad, so if your application needs direct drive this chrome Pivotbolt is not the one to order.
5) Does the Titan safe lock re-lock on its own after the safe is closed?
It does. The Titan automatically re-locks whenever the container's bolt work moves to the fully closed position, so a user who shuts the door but forgets to re-secure the lock is not leaving the safe open. For cash handling and pharmacy environments that is usually the deciding behavior.
6) Can I set a time delay on the Sargent & Greenleaf Titan for a cash drop or retail safe?
Time delay is adjustable up to 99 minutes with a 1 to 15 minute opening window, and there is a separate time-delay override code for authorized bypass. Five failed code attempts trigger a penalty lockout. That combination is what retail and QSR operators generally need for robbery deterrence.
7) What battery does the Titan electronic safe lock use and how long does it last?
