Yes. The S11652 is a Type B ballast bypass lamp, so it runs on line voltage direct to the sockets. The existing T5 fluorescent ballast has to be disconnected and removed, and the socket wiring rerouted to line. If you want a lamp that drops into the fixture and runs off the existing ballast with no rewiring, a Type A lamp is what you want instead, not this one.

Either works. The S11652 accepts single ended wiring (line and neutral both at one end) or double ended wiring (line at one end, neutral at the other), so it suits whichever way the fixture sockets get rewired after the ballast comes out. That flexibility matters on retrofits where you inherit existing tombstones rather than replacing them.

It uses a G5 miniature bi-pin base in a 4 foot T5 form factor, which is the same base and length as a standard 4 foot T5 fluorescent lamp, so it seats in the existing sockets. The catch is electrical, not mechanical: it is a ballast bypass lamp, so the fixture has to be rewired to line voltage before the lamp goes in.

It is rated 120 to 277 volt, so the same lamp covers residential and light commercial 120V circuits and 277V commercial lighting branch circuits. For a property manager or facility buyer standardizing across a building with mixed voltages, that means one part number for both.

The S11652 is CCT selectable, so the color temperature is chosen on the lamp itself rather than by ordering a different part number. That is what makes it useful for MRO stocking: one lamp on the shelf can be set to match whatever is already burning in the adjacent fixtures instead of carrying separate 3000K, 3500K and 4000K SKUs.

The lamp draws 13 watts. A 4 foot T5 linear fluorescent is typically a 28 watt lamp, and it also loses power in the ballast, which this one eliminates entirely since it runs direct on line voltage. For a facility retrofitting a large lamp count, the load reduction is the reason most buyers go Type B rather than leaving the ballast in place.
