1) Will the Satco S11756 8-foot LED tube work in my existing fluorescent fixture, or do I have to remove the ballast?
It's a ballast bypass (direct wire) lamp, so the existing fluorescent ballast has to come out and line voltage goes straight to the lamp holders. Input range is 120V to 277V, so it works on either common commercial circuit. If you want to keep the ballast in place and just swap lamps, this is the wrong lamp type.
2) Does this 8 foot T8 LED fit FA8 single pin holders or R17d recessed double contact?
Both. The lamp is built for Fa8 lamp holders and ships with optional R17d adapter caps, which cover shunted and non-shunted holders. Note the DLC listing applies when the lamp is used in Fa8 applications.
3) Is the Satco S11756 one solid 8 foot tube or does it come in sections?
Two 4-foot sections that interlock in the center, giving a 96 inch overall lamp. A threaded collar secures the joint and an included C-clip supports the middle of the run. That cuts freight damage risk compared to shipping a single 8-foot tube, and it's a lot easier to carry up a lift.
