Schlage flexible door cords are offered in two lengths each with options for less wires or including four, 20 gauge conductor wires (red, green, white and black).

If your device needs 18 gauge for the power leg or more than four circuits, you want a cord pulled to one of those heavier combinations rather than the standard 4-conductor build.
4) What size hole do I need to drill in the door and frame for a Schlage 798C door cord?
The armor is 1/2 inch outside diameter, with a 3/8 inch inside diameter through the loop. Bore your door edge and frame passage to clear the 1/2 inch jacket. The 3/8 inch interior is the working figure for how much wire you can pull through, which is why the accepted bundles top out at twelve 22 gauge conductors.
