1) Will a QOB2 bolt-on breaker fit my QO plug-on load center?
No. The QOB2 is a bolt-on breaker, meaning it fastens mechanically to the bus rather than clipping on. It belongs in a panel or I-Line style enclosure prepped for bolt-on QO breakers. If your load center takes plug-on QO breakers, the bolt-on version will not seat on that bus and you need the plug-on QO equivalent instead.
2) Can I use this Schneider QO 2-pole breaker to feed a rooftop AC unit or a condenser?
Yes. The QOB 2-pole is HACR rated, which is the rating required for branch circuits feeding heating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment with multimotor and combination loads. Size it to the amperage on the equipment nameplate.
