1) Will a Schneider QO 1-pole breaker fit in my existing QO load center?
The QO 1-pole miniature circuit breaker is a plug-in device made for QO load centers. It takes one space and measures 0.75 in wide by 2.91 in deep, so it drops onto the bus stab in a single full-size slot. It is not a bolt-on breaker and it is not a tandem, so one breaker equals one circuit position in the panel.
2) Which amp ratings can I order in the QO 1-pole breaker?

3) Can I use a 1-pole QO breaker for a 240V water heater or dryer circuit?
No. A 240V appliance circuit needs both ungrounded legs, which means a 2-pole breaker. The QO breakers here are single pole (1P) and land on one bus leg only, so they serve 120V branch circuits. Order a 2-pole QO for a dryer, range, water heater or condensing unit.
4) Is this a plain thermal-magnetic breaker or does it have GFCI or AFCI protection?
Standard function only. The QO 1-pole here is a thermal-magnetic miniature circuit breaker providing overcurrent protection, with no ground-fault or arc-fault sensing built in. If the NEC requires AFCI on bedroom and living-area circuits or GFCI on kitchen, bath, garage or outdoor circuits, you need the QO combination AFCI or GFCI version instead, or protection at the device.
5) Do I need to add a handle tie or lock accessory when I order a QO breaker?
