The SDC WPT Wireless Power Transfer system revolutionizes the way power is delivered to electrified locks and latches across swinging door openings. By eliminating the need for traditional wired connections or door core drilling, the WPT wireless power transfer solution simplifies retrofitting, especially in existing wood and metal doors, reducing labor and installation time.

Instead of using magnetic induction like most competitors, SDC’s WPT utilizes a radio frequency (RF) transmitter to wirelessly send energy across the door gap. This energy is received and converted into DC voltage by a built-in receiver to power the locking device. Additionally, this wireless transformer allows for the transfer of data signals like latchbolt monitoring, request-to-exit (REX), and door position status (DPS)—features not typically supported by magnetic induction-based systems.
