Metallics 300KOSG – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What size knockout does the Metallics 300KOSG knockout seal fit?
The 300KOSG is sized for a 3 inch knockout, so it closes the 3 inch openings punched in panelboards, junction boxes, troughs and enclosures. For a different opening size you need the matching seal for that diameter, not this one.
2) Does the Metallics 300KOSG come with a gasket, or do I have to buy one separately?
The gasket is included. Metallics ships the 300KOSG as a seal plus gasket set, so you have what you need to close the 3 inch knockout in one part number. No separate sealing washer to source.
3) How many knockout seals are in a pack of Metallics 300KOSG?
Five per pack. If you are closing a handful of unused 3 inch knockouts across several panels on a job, one pack covers five openings, so order by the number of openings divided by five.
4) What is the Metallics 300KOSG made of?
Steel with a zinc finish. That is the usual choice for closing knockouts in steel enclosures indoors or in dry locations, since the plated steel matches the box material and resists corrosion in normal service.
