1) Does the DAC-4-CG come with the cover and gasket, or do I order those separately?
Cover and gasket are included with the DAC-4-CG, so it ships as a complete assembly. You do not need to add a separate cover or gasket kit to close it out. All you supply is the conduit and conductors.
2) Will a Red Dot DAC-4-CG work on EMT?
No. The DAC-4-CG is specified for rigid and IMC conduit, which uses tapered threaded hubs. EMT is unthreaded, so you would need an EMT-to-rigid threaded adapter at each hub, or a conduit body made for EMT instead.
3) Is a Type C conduit body the right choice, or should I use an LB or T?
A Type C body like the DAC-4-CG is a straight-through pull point: both hubs are in line, so it is what you want when you only need access to pull or splice-free feed conductors in a long run. Use an LB where the run turns from a wall out and down into a panel, an LL or LR for a flat 90 along a surface, and a T when you need a third conduit leaving the body.
4) Is the DAC-4-CG aluminum or steel, and can I use it outdoors?
Die cast aluminum. For exterior and damp locations, the included gasket is what seals the cover, so install it with the gasket seated and the cover screws drawn evenly. Keep in mind that aluminum against galvanized steel conduit in a wet or coastal environment can set up galvanic corrosion, so many specs call for anti-seize on the threads.
