1) What conduit type does the Red Dot DALL-6-CG conduit body work with?
The DALL-6-CG is built for rigid metal conduit and IMC, using threaded hubs. It is a Series A style body, so it threads directly onto the conduit run. It is not for EMT, PVC, or flexible conduit; those need their own connector style or an adapter to male thread.
2) Does the Red Dot DALL-6-CG come with a cover and gasket, or do I order those separately?
Cover and gasket are included with the DALL-6-CG. The model is supplied as body, cover and gasket together, so there is nothing else to add for a closed, gasketed pull point. The CG in the model designation is the cover and gasket.
3) Can I use the DALL-6-CG as a pull point on a 2 inch rigid conduit run?
Yes. The DALL-6-CG is a 2 inch LL body for rigid/IMC, so it threads onto 2 inch conduit on both hubs and gives you an access opening for pulling conductors through the turn. With the cover and gasket in place the opening is closed back up after the pull.
4) Is the Red Dot DALL-6-CG metal or plastic, and will it hold up outdoors?
Die cast aluminum body. Aluminum resists corrosion in outdoor and damp exposures better than plain steel and is the usual choice for exterior branch runs. Keep in mind aluminum in direct contact with dissimilar metals or in corrosive chemical environments can still react, so check the conditions on the site.
