The Sioux Chief 647XG2E3 is a 1/2" FIP x 1/2" PEX No-Lead drop ear elbow built for shower riser, tub spout, and other non-pressure fitting applications. Its internal 1/2" FIP thread accepts a shower arm or tub spout nipple, while the 1/2" PEX outlet connects directly into the PEX tubing run behind the wall. The drop ear body includes mounting ears so the fitting can be screwed to blocking or a stud, giving the finished shower arm or tub spout a rigid anchor point instead of relying on the tubing alone. The No-Lead construction makes this elbow suited to potable water supply lines, and it is designed as a rough-in transition fitting installed before the wall surface is closed up.
