The Stanley QED111EDX commercial hardware heavy-duty exit device series to accommodate the widest range of uses. Electrified Dogging: Electrified Dogging (ED) allows continuous latch retraction and dogging simultaneously. ED requires first time mechanical activation after which the push bar will continuously hold the push bar and latch retracted. When power is removed or interrupted from the device, the latch bolt will extend and push bar will release.

1) Will the Stanley QED111EDX rim exit device fit a 36 inch wide door?
Yes. The QED111EDX comes in two device lengths: a 36 inch device that can be field sized down to a 32 inch door, and a 48 inch device that field sizes down to a 36 inch door. So for a 36 inch leaf you want the 48 inch device and cut it to size during install.
