The FST100 is a 1-1/4 by 9/16 inch non-insulated cable staple. The 9/16 inch crown is the opening that sits over the cable, so it suits common NM (Romex) runs that fit within that width, and the 1-1/4 inch leg length drives into wood framing. If your cable bundle is wider than 9/16 inch, you need a larger crown staple rather than forcing two cables under one.

Country of origin is the United States, and the FST100 is flagged compliant for both Buy American and ARRA. That matters on federal, school, and municipal work where domestic-sourcing documentation is part of the submittal.

It is a non-insulated steel staple, so there is no plastic saddle between the staple crown and the cable jacket. Drive it so it holds the cable without crushing the jacket. Where a job spec or inspector calls for an insulated saddle staple on NM cable, this is not the part to use.

They ship 500 to a jar, and 500 each is the minimum order quantity. For rough-in crews that is roughly a day or two of residential NM stapling per jar, and the jar keeps them from spilling in a pouch.

The FST100 itself is the 1-1/4 by 9/16 inch size in a 500-count jar, but other sizes and quantities in the same staple line are available by request. If your run calls for a shorter leg into thin furring or a wider crown for a doubled cable, ask for that size rather than substituting the FST100.
