Sure-Loc SO-SET-PH3 15 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What finishes does the Sure-Loc Sorrento Euro paper holder come in?
Four finishes on the Sorrento Euro paper holder set: 15 Satin Nickel, 26 Polished Chrome, FBL Flat Black, and SB Satin Brass. Those finish codes follow the standard BHMA numbering, so 15 and 26 will read the same as the 15 and 26 on other hardware in the same bathroom.
2) Is the Sure-Loc Sorrento paper holder rated for commercial restrooms or just homes?
It is a residential-classified bath accessory. For a high-traffic public restroom you want a commercial-grade holder with heavier mounting; the Sorrento set is scaled for house and apartment bathrooms, including multi-family units, powder rooms, and primary or guest baths.
3) I need a paper holder with a roller tube instead of a Euro open arm. What should I use?
The Sure-Loc Sorrento set is a Euro-style holder. If the bathroom calls for a traditional roller, the Orca Hardware 2752 in the 27-Cypress Series and the Orca Hardware 4852 Blakely in the 48-Blakely Series both come with a plastic tube that the roll spins on. Deltana also offers post-style holders that carry a roller between two posts, such as the 98C2001 Classic Double Post in the 98C Series. Tube styles hold the roll captive, which some property managers prefer in rental units where rolls get knocked off an open arm.
4) What is the closest equivalent to the Sure-Loc Sorrento Euro paper holder in another brand?
The Sorrento Euro paper holder set is a Euro-style holder, meaning an open arm that takes the roll without a spring tube. The nearest matches by style are the Orca Hardware 3655 Swirl Euro Toilet Paper Holder in the 36-Swirl Series and the Orca Hardware 5255 Ripple Euro Toilet Paper Holder in the 52-Ripple Series. Both are Euro-style toilet paper holders, so the roll loads the same way; the difference is the decorative treatment of the post and rosette, Swirl versus Ripple versus the Sorrento's clean modern Euro profile.
5) Can I match this paper holder with towel bars and rings in the same style?
Yes. The Sorrento Series sits in Sure-Loc's Bath Hardware collection, which is built so the paper holder and the companion accessories share one Euro-style look. If you are standardizing a whole unit or a block of units, order the other Sorrento pieces in the same finish code.
6) Is the Sorrento sold as a complete set or do I buy the posts separately?
It ships as a set with the components needed for a Euro-style paper holder installation, so you are ordering one part number per bathroom rather than piecing together arms and a bar.
7) What paper holder should I specify if the rest of the bath hardware is solid brass?
The Sure-Loc Sorrento Euro paper holder set is offered in Satin Nickel, Polished Chrome, Flat Black, and Satin Brass. If the job specifies solid brass construction, Deltana's toilet paper holders are built in solid brass, including the 88DTPH in the 88 Series, the 55D2001 single post in the 55D Series, and the 98C2001 Classic Double Post. Emtek also offers bar-style paper holders in brass and in sandcast bronze across its Modern Brass, Traditional, and Transitional bath hardware lines.
8) Is a single post holder the same thing as a Euro paper holder?
No. A single post holder such as the Deltana 55D2001 in the 55D Series or the Deltana BBN2001 in the BBN Series mounts one post from the wall and the roll sits on that arm, which is close in concept to the Sure-Loc Sorrento Euro set but is a different design family and a different mounting footprint. If you are matching existing hardware, confirm which you have before ordering, since the rosette pattern and screw locations will not line up between the two.
9) The Sorrento styling is too modern for a traditional bathroom. What else can I put in?
The Sure-Loc Sorrento set belongs to the Sure-Loc Modern collection and reads clean and contemporary. For a traditional or transitional room, Emtek's bar-style paper holders come in a Traditional Bath Hardware series and a Transitional Bath Hardware series, and the Deltana 98C2001 is a Classic double post design. Any of those will sit better with older trim and fixture profiles while still serving the same function.
10) Does this toilet paper holder need any wiring or power?
No. It is straight mechanical hardware with no electronic components, so there is nothing to wire and no outlet or low-voltage feed to plan for. It mounts to the wall and that is the whole install.
11) Will flat black Sorrento hardware coordinate with black door levers elsewhere in the house?
The FBL Flat Black option is the same finish direction builders use for matte black levers and hinges, so it reads consistently in a black hardware package. Sure-Loc builds this under its door hardware line, which is why the bath finishes track the lockset finishes.
12) Can I standardize one paper holder across a multi-family property and still coordinate the rest of the bath?
The Sure-Loc Sorrento Euro paper holder set is part of the Sorrento Series in Sure-Loc's Bath Hardware collection, so it is designed to be matched with companion Sorrento accessories in the same finish across units. If you prefer to standardize on a different brand, Emtek's bar-style paper holders are each tied to a full bath hardware series as well, such as Modern Brass Bath Hardware and Transitional Bath Hardware, so the towel bars and rings come from the same family.
