Sure-Loc SO-PH3 15 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Is the Sorrento Euro paper holder suitable for a commercial restroom?
No. Sure-Loc classifies the Sorrento Euro paper holder as residential, and it's built for residential bathrooms rather than high-traffic commercial washrooms. For a public or institutional restroom, specify a commercial-grade holder instead. It's fine for multi-family apartment bathrooms, rentals, and powder rooms.
2) I need a paper holder with a roller instead of an open Euro arm - what should I use instead of the Sorrento?
The Sure-Loc Sorrento is a Euro-style holder, which has no roller. If the roll needs to sit on a tube, the Orca Hardware 2752 from the 27-Cypress Series and the Orca Hardware 4852 from the 48-Blakely Series both include a plastic tube. For a metal post design, the Deltana 55D2001 and the Deltana BBN2001 are single-post toilet paper holders, and the Deltana 98C2001 is a classic double-post holder in solid brass.
3) What is the closest Euro-style equivalent to the Sure-Loc Sorrento Euro Paper Holder from another brand?
The Orca Hardware 3655 Swirl Euro Toilet Paper Holder and the Orca Hardware 5255 Ripple Euro Toilet Paper Holder are both Euro-style paper holders, from the 36-Swirl Series and 52-Ripple Series respectively. Like the Sure-Loc Sorrento, they are open Euro designs rather than post-and-roller units, so the tissue roll loads from the open end. The difference is the decorative treatment: Sorrento carries the Sorrento Series design lines, while the Orca units carry the Swirl and Ripple series styling.
4) What finishes does the Sure-Loc Sorrento Euro paper holder come in?
Four finishes: 15 Satin Nickel, 26 Polished Chrome, FBL Flat Black, and SB Satin Brass. Those are the full set, so if you're matching existing Sorrento bath hardware or door hardware finishes in a unit, pick the code that matches what's already on the doors.
5) Will this match the rest of my bathroom hardware?
It's part of Sure-Loc's Sorrento Series within the Bath Hardware collection, so it's meant to be ordered alongside the other Sorrento pieces (towel bars, rings, hooks) in the same finish code for a consistent look. If your existing accessories are a different Sure-Loc series, match on finish code rather than assuming the styling lines up.
6) What's the difference between a Euro-style paper holder and a post-style one?
Euro style, like the Sorrento, uses an open contemporary arm instead of a captive roller between two posts, so the roll slides on and off without removing a spindle. If you want the traditional look with a post, the Deltana 55D2001 single post and the Deltana 98C2001 classic double post are post-type alternatives. Orca's 3655 Swirl and 5255 Ripple are other Euro-style holders.
7) What are the solid brass alternatives if I need a heavier paper holder?
The Sorrento is Sure-Loc's residential Euro design. If material weight is your priority, Deltana lists solid brass construction on the 55D2001, the 88DTPH and the 98C2001. Emtek's bar-style paper holders come in Modern Brass, Traditional Brass, Transitional Brass and Sandcast Bronze families if you want to match an Emtek door hardware package.
8) Is the Sure-Loc Sorrento paper holder a good choice for a high-traffic commercial restroom?
The Sure-Loc Sorrento Euro Paper Holder is classified for residential use rather than commercial-grade washroom applications, which is why it suits primary baths, powder rooms, and multi-family units. If you want a solid brass body instead, the Deltana 88DTPH from the 88 Series and the Deltana 98C2001 from the 98C Series are both solid brass toilet paper holders, and Emtek's Sandcast Bronze Paper Holder - Bar Style is a cast bronze bar-style unit.
9) I need a black paper holder - does Sure-Loc Sorrento offer it, or do I need another brand?
The Sure-Loc Sorrento Euro Paper Holder is offered in FBL Flat Black, along with 15 Satin Nickel, 26 Polished Chrome, and SB Satin Brass, so a black finish is available without switching brands. If the room is trimmed in bronze rather than black, Emtek's Sandcast Bronze Paper Holder - Bar Style is a bar-style alternative from the Sandcast Bronze bath hardware family.
10) Does this paper holder need any wiring or batteries?
No power involved. The Sorrento Euro paper holder is a non-electronic, wall-mounted mechanical accessory, so it's a straight surface mount with no wiring, transformer, or battery to maintain.
11) Can I order matching Flat Black bath accessories for a whole unit?
Flat Black (FBL) is one of the four Sorrento finishes, along with Satin Nickel, Polished Chrome and Satin Brass. Order the paper holder and the other Sorrento Series bath pieces in the same FBL code and the finish will carry across the bathroom. For volume work, standardize on one finish code across all units so replacements stay simple.
12) Will the Orca 3655 Swirl Euro holder coordinate with Sure-Loc Sorrento hardware already installed?
They are not a matched pair. The Orca Hardware 3655 is a Euro holder from the 36-Swirl Series with its own Swirl styling, while the Sure-Loc unit belongs to the Sorrento Series and is designed to be paired with other Sorrento Series bath hardware. Both are Euro-style, so the loading action is similar, but to keep one design theme across the bath, stay within a single series.
