TOTO THP4511 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is TOTO THP4511 and what does it do on a faucet?
THP4511 is a TOTO set screw for the Legato faucet line. It's a fastener part, used on the faucet rather than sold as a complete trim or valve assembly. If a handle or escutcheon has worked loose because the original screw is stripped or missing, this is the replacement piece, not a repair kit.
2) Will the THP4511 set screw fit a TOTO faucet other than the Legato series?
Plan on Legato only. THP4511 is specified as the Legato set screw, and TOTO uses series-specific fastener numbers, so a handle screw from another TOTO faucet family is unlikely to thread the same. If your faucet is a different TOTO series, look up the set screw number published for that series instead of substituting this one.
3) Is TOTO THP4511 the right part number to order for a Legato faucet set screw?
Yes. THP4511 is the TOTO manufacturer part number, and it is ordered as a single item with no finish or size choice to specify. Give your supplier or plumber that number and nothing else is needed to identify it.
4) For a property manager stocking TOTO faucet repair parts, is a set screw worth keeping on the shelf?
It's a common failure point. On a Legato faucet, the set screw is what holds the handle to the stem, and once it strips the handle spins without operating the valve. Keeping a few THP4511 screws in the MRO bin means a loose handle is a five minute fix rather than a faucet swap.
