TOTO THP5250 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What exactly is the Toto THP5250 mini unit adapter used for?
The THP5250 is a vapor barrier adapter for a Toto diverter valve, used on shower and tub installations. It is a replacement part for the valve itself, not a trim kit or a handle, so it does not change the look of the finished wall.
2) Is the Toto THP5250 a diverter valve part or a complete diverter?
It is a diverter component, specifically the vapor barrier adapter for the mini unit, ordered under Toto part number THP5250. Buyers replacing a whole diverter valve body or buying new rough-in need the valve assembly, not this adapter alone.
3) Can I use the Toto THP5250 on a tub and shower combination?
Yes, the application for this Toto diverter part covers both shower and tub installations. Confirm the valve you are servicing is the Toto mini unit this adapter is built for, since it is model specific.
4) Does the Toto THP5250 adapter come in different finishes?
No. THP5250 is a single part with one configuration. It sits behind the wall as part of the diverter valve, so finish is set by the trim you pair with it, not by this piece.
