TOTO LT183#12 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is the TOTO Curva LT183 undermount sink ADA compliant?
The Curva round undermount sink is ADA compliant, but only when the overflow is installed to the rear. It can be set with the overflow to the front or the rear, and the front orientation forfeits the ADA claim. For a school, clinic, or public restroom where the lav has to meet ADA, orient the overflow to the rear during rough-in.
2) Does the TOTO Curva LT183 sink have faucet holes?
No faucet holes. The Curva undermount is drilled with no faucet hole spacing, so the faucet mounts through the countertop or the wall. Order your faucet and drill the deck accordingly, single hole, centerset, or widespread is entirely up to the counter fabricator.
3) How deep is the basin on the TOTO Curva round undermount sink?
Basin depth is 4.47 inches, with 2.89 inches to the overflow. That gives roughly an inch and a half of freeboard above the overflow, which is the number that matters if you are checking splash for a high-arc or vessel-style faucet spout over a shallow bowl.
4) What is the model number and finish of the beige TOTO Curva undermount sink?
It is TOTO part number LT183#12, the Curva round undermount lavatory in Sedona Beige. The #12 suffix is TOTO's Sedona Beige colour code, so if you are matching a toilet or a second lav in the same room, look for the same #12 suffix on those part numbers.
5) Does the TOTO Curva LT183 come with a drain or mounting clips?
The sink ships as the china bowl. A drain assembly, pop-up or grid, and the tailpiece and trap are separate, and undermount clips and adhesive are typically supplied by the countertop fabricator. Check the LT183 manual and parts sheet for the drain opening detail before you order the drain.
6) Can one person set the LT183 Curva sink, or do I need help?
At 27 pounds it is a two-hand lift but manageable solo for setting into place. Undermounting is the hard part, not the weight: the bowl has to be held up tight to the underside of the deck while the clips and adhesive cure, so most installers use a support brace or a second set of hands under the counter.
7) Is a round 14 inch basin big enough for a commercial or multi-family restroom?
The Curva's basin is 14 by 14 inches round at 4.47 inches deep, which is a full-size lavatory bowl suited to hotel guest baths, apartment vanities, and office restrooms. Where it does not suit is a mop or utility application, or any spec calling for a rectangular bowl to match a narrow vanity run, since the round shape needs the full width of the deck.
