TOTO TET2UBIA32#SS – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is the TOTO TET2UBIA32#SS a flush valve for a toilet or a urinal?
Toilet. The TET2UBIA32#SS is a concealed electronic flush valve set up for water closet service, not urinal service. Urinals use a different flush volume and valve, so don't substitute this one on a urinal fixture.
2) What flush volume does the TOTO TET2UBIA32 concealed flush valve deliver?
1.0 gallon per flush. If your bowl is rated for 1.28 or 1.6 gpf, a 1.0 gpf valve can under-flush it, so match the valve volume to the bowl's rating before you commit.
3) Does the TET2UBIA32#SS mount exposed on the wall or behind it?
Behind it. This is a concealed flush valve, so the valve body sits inside the wall or chase and only the sensor plate shows in the room. That means you need an accessible chase or carrier space and a rough-in planned for concealed work, which exposed valves don't require.
4) Is this TOTO toilet flush valve sensor operated or manual?
Sensor operated. It is an electronic flush valve (TOTO's EFV), so flushing is automatic on user departure rather than by a handle or push button. For a manual handle you want a conventional diaphragm flushometer instead.
5) What does the #SS suffix mean on TOTO part TET2UBIA32#SS?
It's the finish code on the TOTO part number, stainless. When you standardize restrooms across a building, order the full number including the suffix so every trim plate matches; TET2UBIA32 on its own is incomplete for ordering.
