TOTO TET2LBI433#SS – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the TOTO TET2LBI433#SS and what does it operate?
It's a TOTO concealed electronic flush valve for a toilet, flushing at 1.28 gallons. The valve body mounts behind the wall, so only the sensor plate shows in the restroom. TOTO designates it TET2LBI433#SS.
2) Can I use the TET2LBI433#SS flush valve on a urinal?
No. This TOTO electronic flush valve is specified for toilet use at 1.28 gallons per flush. Urinals need a valve sized for urinal flush volumes, so order a urinal-specific electronic flush valve instead.
3) Is this a complete toilet or just the flush valve?
Just the flush valve. The TET2LBI433#SS is a flushometer assembly for a toilet; the bowl, carrier or floor flange, and the spud connection to the fixture are all separate items on the order.
4) Will a 1.28 gpf electronic flush valve meet water conservation requirements for a commercial restroom retrofit?
At 1.28 gallons per flush, this TOTO valve flushes at the high-efficiency toilet rate rather than the older 1.6 gallon standard, which is what most water-conservation retrofit programs ask for on toilets. Pair it with a bowl rated for 1.28 gallons, since flush volume and bowl design have to match for the fixture to clear properly.
5) Does a concealed flush valve need access behind the wall for service?
Yes. Because the TET2LBI433#SS is a concealed valve, the body, solenoid and stop sit inside the chase and only the sensor plate is exposed. Plan an access panel or confirm chase access before you close up the wall, otherwise any future solenoid or filter service means opening finished tile.
6) What part number should I give to standardize touchless toilet flush valves across a facility?
Specify TOTO TET2LBI433#SS. It is a single configuration, concealed, toilet, 1.28 gallons per flush, so repeat orders for additional stalls come back identical with no finish or trim options to reconcile.
