TOTO TET2LBIA33#SS – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is the TOTO TET2LBIA33#SS a flush valve for a urinal or a toilet?
It's a toilet flush valve. TOTO lists the application as toilet, and the valve flushes at 1.28 gallons per flush, so it should not be substituted for a urinal valve, which runs at a much lower volume.
2) Does the TOTO TET2LBIA33#SS mount on the wall surface or inside the wall?
Concealed. The valve body is designed to sit behind the finished wall with only the sensor plate exposed, so the rough-in chase and access panel have to be planned before the wall is closed up. If you need a valve you can hang on an exposed supply after the wall is finished, this is the wrong configuration.
3) Will a 1.28 gpf flush valve work with the water closet bowl I already have?
Match the bowl's rated flush volume before ordering. This TOTO valve delivers 1.28 gallons per flush, which is the standard WaterSense high-efficiency toilet volume. On a bowl engineered for 1.6 gpf you can get carry problems, and on a 1.0 or 0.8 gpf bowl you will over-deliver water. Confirm the bowl is spec'd at 1.28.
4) Is the TET2LBIA33#SS a sensor flush valve or a manual handle?
Sensor operated. TOTO builds it as an IoT electronic flush valve (EFV), so flushing is automatic off the sensor rather than a manual lever. That makes it a touchless fixture for high-traffic restrooms where facilities want to cut hand contact on the flush.
5) What is the exact TOTO part number to order for this concealed electronic toilet flush valve?
Order TOTO TET2LBIA33#SS. The #SS suffix is TOTO's finish designation on the part number, and it is the only configuration this valve is built in, so there is no separate finish or trim code to specify.
