TOTO THP5352 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What exactly is the TOTO THP5352 part?
THP5352 is a TOTO drain lift rod, a sink drain assembly component. It's the vertical rod that connects the lavatory faucet's lift knob down to the pop-up drain linkage, so pulling or pushing the knob raises and seats the stopper. It is a repair part, not a complete drain body or faucet.
2) Is the TOTO THP5352 for a sink or for a tub drain?
Sink. The THP5352 lift rod is specified for lavatory sink use, so it is the wrong part for a bath waste and overflow, which uses a trip lever or a toe-touch/lift-and-turn stopper rather than a rod through the faucet body.
3) How do I order the right TOTO lift rod replacement?
Order by TOTO part number THP5352. TOTO lift rods are faucet-series specific in length, thread, and knob style, so matching the number from your faucet's parts breakdown is the way to get a rod that threads into the existing clevis and sits at the right height.
4) Does the TOTO THP5352 lift rod come with the drain body and stopper?
No. THP5352 is the lift rod alone, a single drain assembly component. If the pop-up body, tailpiece, clevis strap, or pivot rod is also worn out, those are separate TOTO part numbers and need to be ordered alongside it.
5) Can a property manager keep TOTO THP5352 rods on the shelf for lavatory repairs?
Yes, and it's a sensible MRO stock item where TOTO lavatory faucets are standardized across units. The lift rod is the part that bends, strips at the thread, or goes missing in rental turnovers, and swapping it is a hand-tool job at the clevis screw under the sink, no need to pull the drain body.
