TOTO TES201AE#CP – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Does the TOTO TES201 touchless soap dispenser come with the spout, or do I order that separately?
The controller package covers it. You get the controller base unit with the 3 liter (0.8 gallon) reservoir, one chrome plated spout, mounting hardware and supply lines. What is not included is the soap: TOTO soap is required for proper functionality and is sold separately, so budget for that on any install.
2) I have a three-sink lavatory run. Can one TOTO controller feed all three spouts?
Yes, if you order the right model. The spout count is an ordering option, with one, two, or three spout configurations available, plus a spout-only part for when you already have a controller. For three sinks off one controller, that is the 3-spout version, for example TES203AE#CP. The base controller as described ships with one chrome plated spout, so a multi-spout order is what gets you the extra outlets.
3) What is the difference between the Standard, Semi Vessel and Vessel versions of the TOTO auto foam soap spout?
It is spout height, matched to how far the sink rim sits above the counter. Standard spouts stand 2.5 inches at the spout with an overall height of 3.25 inches. Semi vessel models measure 6.5625 inches at the spout, 7.3125 inches overall. Full vessel models reach 8.125 inches at the spout, 8.9375 inches overall. All three share the same 5.5 by 1.5 inch footprint. Pick by bowl type: a counter-mounted vessel bowl needs the tallest spout to clear the rim, an undermount lav takes Standard.
4) Can I buy just a replacement TOTO touchless soap spout without the controller?
Yes. The spout-only parts are TLK08001G#CP for the Standard height, TLK08002G#CP for semi vessel, and TLK08003G#CP for vessel, all in polished chrome. Order by the spout height you already have on the counter: 2.5 inches for Standard, 6.5625 for semi vessel, 8.125 for vessel.
5) What does the Sub Tank option on the TOTO TES204 and TES205 dispensers actually add?
Sub tank is a yes or no ordering choice that separates the model families. TES201, TES202 and TES203 are the no-sub-tank controllers. TES204 (2 spouts) and TES205 (3 spouts) are the sub tank versions. For a busy restroom feeding two or three spouts off one controller, the sub tank build is the one specified; for a single lav, the TES201 without it is the simpler order.
6) Do the TOTO touchless soap dispensers come in any finish besides chrome?
Polished chrome only, across every configuration, indicated by the #CP suffix on the model numbers. If you are standardizing a restroom on brushed nickel or matte black trim, the soap spout will not match; chrome is the single finish offered on the TES20 series.
7) Does the TOTO auto foam dispenser use bar soap cartridges or liquid, and how much does the tank hold?
It is a foam soap system fed from a refillable reservoir, not a cartridge. The tank holds 3 liters (0.8 gallon), and TOTO soap is required for the unit to work properly. Facilities buyers should plan on stocking TOTO soap rather than a generic bulk liquid.
8) How much space do I need under the counter for the TOTO soap dispenser controller?
Above the deck the spout assembly occupies a 5.5 by 1.5 inch footprint. The controller with its 3 liter reservoir mounts below, so plan cabinet clearance for the base unit plus room to reach it for refilling. Supply lines and mounting hardware ship with the unit.
9) How does the TOTO touchless dispenser trigger, and does the sensor need adjusting after install?
The sensor sits on the spout and is self-adjusting, so it detects the user's hand and dispenses a set amount of foam with no contact and no manual sensitivity tuning at the counter. Nothing on the deck to push, which is why these get specified in healthcare and high-traffic public restrooms.
