One controller drives one, two, or three spouts depending on the model you order: TES201AA#CP is the single-spout configuration, TES202AA#CP runs two spouts, and TES203AA#CP runs three. Pick the spout count to match the number of lavatories on the counter.
2) Can I use my own bulk hand soap in the TOTO touchless sensor dispenser?
No. The TOTO touchless dispenser requires TOTO Biodegradable Green Seal soap (TSFB) or TOTO Antimicrobial soap (TSFG) for proper functionality, and the soap is sold separately from the controller. It dispenses foam, so a standard liquid or gel hand soap poured into the reservoir is the wrong viscosity for the pump. Budget the soap as an ongoing consumable line item alongside the hardware.
3) How long does a 3 liter soap tank last in a high traffic restroom, and can I add more capacity?
Capacity on the base controller is 3 liters (0.8 gallon). For heavy-traffic facilities, TOTO offers a 20 liter sub-tank, model TLK01401U, which is a separate purchase. You can also order the controller pre-configured for a sub-tank: TES204AA#CP is the two-spout version with sub tank and TES205AA#CP is the three-spout version with sub tank. Airports, stadiums, and school restrooms are where the sub-tank pays for itself in fewer refill trips.
4) Does the TOTO auto soap dispenser need power, and how far is the cord?
It runs on a 55 inch power cord off the base unit, so there has to be a receptacle inside the vanity cabinet or chase within that reach of where the controller mounts. Plan the electrical rough-in before the millwork goes in. On a retrofit into existing casework with no outlet under the sink, that circuit is the part of the job people forget to price.
5) What is the difference between the TOTO TES20 dispensers and the TLK01101UA style part numbers?
Two different things. The TES20 numbers, TES201AA#CP through TES205AA#CP, are complete polished chrome dispenser assemblies with the spout. The TLK011 numbers, including TLK01101UA, TLK01102UA, TLK01103UA, TLK01106UA, and TLK01107UA, are tank and controller only, without the chrome spout. Order a TLK when you are replacing a failed controller or reservoir on a system already installed and the deck spouts are staying. Order a TES for a new installation.
6) I am replacing just the tank on an existing TOTO soap system. Which tank part number matches my setup?
Match the tank to how many spouts your controller feeds and whether a sub-tank is in the system. One spout, no sub-tank is TLK01101UA. Two spouts, no sub-tank is TLK01102UA. Three spouts, no sub-tank is TLK01103UA. With a sub-tank, two spouts is TLK01106UA and three spouts is TLK01107UA. Count the spouts on the counter before you order, since the controller is matched to spout count, not interchangeable across it.
7) What comes in the box with the TOTO TES201AA soap dispenser, and what else do I need to buy?
