TOTO TES201AB#CP – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Do I need an electrician for a TOTO touchless foam soap dispenser?
Yes, it runs on line power. The controller has a 55 inch power cord and needs a 120V AC supply, so there has to be a receptacle in the cabinet or chase within reach of that cord. On a new install, get the outlet roughed in below the lavatory before the counter goes on. This is not a battery unit.
2) How many sinks can one TOTO touchless soap dispenser controller run?
It depends which model you order. The controller comes configured for one, two, or three chrome plated spouts off a single 3 liter reservoir: TES201 runs one spout, TES202 runs two, TES203 runs three. For a bank of lavatories, that means one tank and one controller serve up to three basins instead of a separate dispenser at each one.
3) What is the difference between the AB and AD versions of the TOTO TES soap dispenser spout?
Spout height. The AB models use a 2.5 inch spout for a standard deck or countertop mount, overall height 3 inches. The AD models use an 8.125 inch spout for vessel bowls, overall height 8.6875 inches. Pick AD when the basin sits on top of the counter, AB when it's undermount or drop-in.
4) How often will we have to refill a 3 liter TOTO soap reservoir in a high traffic restroom?
For heavy traffic, order the sub-tank rather than living with the 3 liter (0.8 gallon) reservoir alone. TOTO offers a 20 liter sub-tank, part TLK01401U, sold separately, and the TES204 and TES205 configurations are the sub-tank versions. That's the difference between a refill on the janitor's daily round and one on a much longer cycle in an airport or stadium washroom.
5) What comes in the box with the TOTO TES soap dispenser controller?
You get the controller base unit with the 3 liter reservoir tank, one chrome plated spout assembly, mounting hardware and the supply lines. What is not in the box is the soap, which TOTO requires you buy separately, and the optional 20 liter sub-tank.
6) Can I buy just a replacement spout for a TOTO auto foam soap dispenser?
Yes. Spout only parts are sold on their own: TLK07001G#CP is the 2.5 inch deck spout and TLK07003G#CP is the 8.125 inch vessel spout, both polished chrome. That's the part to order if a spout has been damaged or you're adding to an existing controller rather than replacing the whole system.
7) What finish does the TOTO TES touchless soap dispenser come in?
Polished chrome, and only polished chrome, across every configuration from the single spout TES201 through the three spout sub-tank TES205 and the spout only parts. If you're standardizing a washroom package and the faucets are brushed nickel or matte black, this line won't match them.
8) How much counter space does the TOTO soap dispenser spout take up?
The spout footprint is small: 5.5 by 1.5625 inches at the deck, with 3 inches of height on the standard version or 8.6875 inches on the vessel version. The controller and reservoir mount below in the cabinet, which is why the visible part is only the spout.
