The Trimco 1562 Series is a tubular push/pull hospital latch with a cold-forged steel base assembly. Lever action is field-reversible regardless of door hand or function. The base design lets distributors stock a single unit and configure hand and function in the field, eliminating the need to carry separate inventory for each door hand or function.

The push/pull latch was originally developed for hospital staff to ensure positive latching for patient protection in the event of fire. Its ease of operation, versatility, and dependability have led to broad use across commercial and institutional buildings.
