Viega 16323 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is the Viega 16323 cap made of copper or bronze?
Copper. The 1 inch ProPressG cap 16323 is a copper body, so it joins to copper tube systems without a dissimilar-metal transition.
2) Do I need a special press tool for the Viega 16323 cap?
It presses with a standard press tool and 1 inch jaw sized for the fitting. No solder, no flame, no threading. Because it is a press connection, the tube end must be cut square, deburred, and fully inserted to the stop before the jaw is closed.
3) Where is the Viega 16323 cap manufactured?
Made in Germany. Useful if your submittal package or a public-works spec asks for country of origin on the fitting schedule.
