WAC Lighting 1.13" Morae LED Linear Pendant

An abstract expressionist design that excites... This unique luminaire is available in a black aluminum or modern brushed nickel profile that is inspired by an eye opening style with curved metal and a bending silicone diffuser. Perfect for illuminating foyers, entryways, dining areas and other spaces in residences, hospitality and commercial settings. Available in a 30 inch round or 44 inch linear form factor. Morae illuminates with LEDs that feature a high 90 color rendering index and a CCT of 3000 Kelvin. This luminaire operates on a 120-220-277 universal input voltage system. The LEDs have a 50,000 hour rated life and are ETL and cETL listed for damp locations. This pendant is California Title 24 rated for the highest energy efficient requirements today. Dims down beautifully with an electronic low voltage or TRIAC dimming system.
  • Aluminum construction and silicone diffuser, configured in a modern and linear wave pattern.
  • Morae is damp location listed - can be used indoor or covered outdoor areas. Ultra-sleek electrified cables eliminate the need for clunky power wires. Height is simple to adjustable with 120in of cable through push pin connectors at the canopy. Longer lengths can be special ordered.
  • Universal Input Voltage Driver (120V-240V-277V) concealed in fixture. Sloped ceiling compatible.
  • Smooth and continuous dimming with electronic low voltage ELV, 0-10V, or TRIAC dimmer options.

WAC Lighting WAC-PD-33244 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Can the WAC Morae PD-33244 linear pendant be installed on a sloped ceiling?
Yes. The Morae linear pendant is sloped ceiling compatible, and it hangs on cables from a ceiling-mounted canopy measuring 12 inches by 5.75 inches. Hanging height adjusts from 10 inches up to 120 inches using push pin connectors at the canopy, so you can level the fixture under a pitched ceiling without extra hardware.
2) Will the Morae PD-33244 pendant run on 277V commercial power?
It will. The driver is universal input, 120-240-277V, and it is concealed inside the fixture, so the same part number works on a 120V residential circuit or a 277V commercial lighting branch. The fixture is hardwired and draws 36.1W.
3) What dimmer works with the WAC Morae linear pendant?
Use an ELV (electronic low voltage) or TRIAC dimmer. Those are the control types the Morae's integrated driver is rated for. A standard incandescent-only dimmer or a magnetic low voltage dimmer is the wrong match here, and since the LED module is integrated there is no lamp to swap if the control is mismatched.
4) Can the Morae PD-33244 pendant go over a covered porch or in a bathroom?
Damp location listed, ETL and cETL, with an IP44 rating. That covers a covered exterior entry, a porch ceiling, or a bath area out of direct spray. It is not rated for wet locations, so skip open-to-weather positions where rain hits the fixture.
5) Does the WAC Morae pendant meet California Title 24?
Yes, the Morae is both Title 24 and Title 20 compliant, which is what a spec-driven job in California needs from a hardwired residential or commercial luminaire. It is also listed as ADA compliant. It is not Energy Star certified.
6) How long is the 44 inch Morae pendant and how much light does it put out?
The linear Morae measures 44 inches long, 1.13 inches wide and 5.13 inches high, and delivers 2500 lumens at 3000K with a 90 CRI. Beam distribution is flood, so it washes a dining table or island rather than spotlighting. That output comes from a single integrated LED module rated for 50,000 hours.
7) Do I need to order bulbs or a separate driver for the WAC Morae pendant?
No. The LED source is integrated and included, and the universal-voltage driver is built into the fixture, so there is no remote driver to find space for above the ceiling. You supply the branch circuit and a compatible ELV or TRIAC dimmer. Cable comes at 110 inches of wire with adjustment up to 120 inches of drop; longer lengths can be special ordered.
8) Should I use the 44 inch linear Morae or the 30 inch round version?
Go linear over a rectangular surface, a long dining table, a kitchen island, a reception desk, where the 44 inch run matches the footprint below it. The 30 inch round form suits a foyer, entry, or stairwell where the fixture is viewed in the round and there is no long axis to follow. Both share the Morae aluminum and silicone-diffuser look.
9) What finishes does the Morae 44 inch linear pendant come in?
Two: black (PD-33244-BK) and brushed nickel (PD-33244-BN). Both are aluminum bodies with a silicone diffuser, and both are 3000K. If you are matching other fixtures in a lobby or dining room, those are your only two profile colors on the linear form.
