The Morae PD-33230 is damp location rated, ETL and cETL listed, with an IP44 rating. That covers covered exterior spaces like porches and breezeways, plus bathrooms and other humid interior areas. It is not wet location rated, so do not use it where it gets direct rain or sprinkler spray.
2) How low can the Morae 30 inch pendant hang, and can it be shortened for a lower ceiling?
Hanging range runs from 11 inches at the shortest to 120 inches at the longest. It suspends on cable with 110 inches of wire supplied, and the cable is adjusted at the canopy through push pin connectors, so you field-set the drop without cutting the fixture. For a two-story foyer needing more than 120 inches, longer cable can be special ordered.
3) Will this WAC pendant work on a 277V commercial circuit?
Yes. The Morae round pendant runs on a universal input driver covering 120V, 240V and 277V, and the driver is concealed inside the fixture rather than remote mounted. Draw is 42.1W. That makes the same part number usable in a residential 120V foyer and a 277V commercial lobby with no separate transformer.
4) What dimmer do I need for the Morae LED pendant?
It accepts ELV (electronic low voltage), TRIAC, or 0-10V control. A standard incandescent-only dimmer or a MLV dimmer is the wrong device here. On a remodel, plan on swapping the existing dimmer to an ELV or TRIAC LED model; on new commercial work with a lighting control system, use the 0-10V path.
5) Does the Morae pendant meet California Title 24 and Title 20?

9) Is the diffuser glass? I need something that will not shatter in a hospitality corridor.
Not glass. The Morae diffuser is silicone, bent into the wave pattern, on an aluminum frame. Silicone is flexible rather than brittle, which is a practical advantage in high-traffic hospitality and commercial spaces where a glass shade is a breakage and cleanup liability.
10) Is the Morae pendant ADA compliant?
It is listed ADA compliant. As a ceiling-hung pendant it is not a wall projection concern, but mounting height still needs to clear the required headroom in a circulation path, so set the cable drop with that in mind in a commercial corridor.
