1) Can the Niveous PD-52310 pendant be installed on a sloped or cathedral ceiling?
Yes. The Niveous pendant has an integral swivel at the canopy for sloped ceilings, so no separate slope adapter is needed. It is a hardwired ceiling mount with a 6.75 inch round backplate, which covers a standard octagon box.
2) Will the PD-52310 pendant work on 277V in a commercial building?
It will. The driver is universal input, 120V, 240V or 277V, so the same part number works on residential 120V and on 277V commercial lighting circuits. That makes it easy to standardize one pendant across a mixed-voltage property.
3) What dimmer works with the WAC Niveous LED pendant?
Use an electronic low voltage (ELV) dimmer or a 0-10V dimmer for smooth, continuous dimming. A standard incandescent or MLV dimmer is the wrong control for this integrated LED driver and will likely flicker or drop out at the low end.
4) Can I hang the Niveous PD-52310 over a bathtub, in a shower, or on a covered porch?
It is damp location rated and IP44, so it is fine in a bathroom, over a vanity, or under a covered porch or soffit where it stays out of direct rain. It is not a wet location fixture, so don't use it fully exposed to weather.
5) What color temperatures and finishes does the 10 inch Niveous pendant come in?
Nine combinations: 2700K, 3000K and 3500K, each in Aged Brass, Brushed Nickel or White. The 3000K versions carry no CCT digits in the number (PD-52310-AB, -BN, -WT), while 2700K and 3500K add -27 or -35, for example PD-52310-27-BN. Custom CCT is available by special order.
6) How much light does the PD-52310 put out, and how many do I need over an island?
Each pendant delivers 906 lumens at 14W with a flood distribution through a 10 inch etched globe, so it reads as soft ambient light rather than task light. Over a kitchen island or a run of counter, most designers run two or three of these on spacing and add dedicated task lighting underneath or recessed above.
7) Does the Niveous pendant take a bulb, and what happens when the LED fails?
No bulb to buy or change. The LED array is integrated and included, rated at 70,000 hours, which is why WAC calls it maintenance free. The tradeoff for an MRO or property maintenance team is that there's no relamping path, the fixture is the serviceable unit.
8) Does the PD-52310 meet California Title 24 for a residential project?
Yes, the Niveous pendant is listed as both Title 20 and Title 24 compliant, which is what California jobs need on the fixture schedule. It is not Energy Star listed and it is not ADA compliant, so keep it off corridor walls where ADA projection limits apply.
