No. The Fitzgerald uses AC LED technology, so there is no remote driver or transformer to find space for. It runs on 120V line voltage and mounts over a pancake junction box, which is what makes it workable on shallow walls and over existing boxes.
2) Can I change the color temperature on the Fitzgerald sconce after it ships, or am I locked into what I ordered?
You can change it at install. A Tri-CCT switch inside the canopy toggles between 2700K warm, 3000K warm white, and 3500K white.
