1) How high a ceiling can the WAC Lacey PD-45316 pendant hang from?
The Lacey PD-45316 hangs from 25 inches minimum to 121 inches maximum overall. It ships with three 12 inch down rods and one 6 inch rod, plus 130 inches of wire. Use fewer rods for a tight drop over a counter, all four for a stairwell or double-height entry. Additional down rods are sold separately if you need to reach past 121 inches.
2) Can the Lacey LED pendant be installed over a bathtub, on a covered porch, or in a kitchen with steam?
Damp rated, with an IP44 rating, so it can go in a covered outdoor location, a bathroom, or a covered porch. It is not wet rated, so keep it out of direct rain or spray. It also carries ETL and cETL listings for US and Canadian jobs.
3) Will the WAC PD-45316 pendant run on 277V commercial power?
Yes. The driver is universal input, 120V, 240V, or 277V, so the same fixture works on a residential 120V circuit or a 277V commercial lighting branch without a separate part number. That matters if you are specifying one pendant across both a lobby and a tenant unit.
4) What dimmer works with the Lacey PD-45316, and can I put it on my existing wall dimmer?
It dims on ELV (electronic low voltage) or TRIAC dimmers. A standard incandescent TRIAC dimmer will work; a 0-10V control will not. If the existing dimmer on that circuit is an older rotary meant for incandescent load, confirm it is TRIAC and that its minimum load suits a 20.3W fixture.
5) Will the canopy on the PD-45316 cover my existing ceiling junction box?
The backplate is 6.13 inches in diameter, which covers a standard 4 inch octagon or round ceiling box with room to spare. It is a hardwired ceiling mount, so you need a box rated to carry the fixture weight at that location, not a cord and plug outlet.
6) Do I need to buy bulbs for the WAC Lacey pendant, and what happens when the LEDs fail?
No bulbs to buy. The Lacey uses 16 integrated LEDs, included, rated for an average 54,000 hours. Integrated means there is no socket and no lamp to change, so at end of life the fixture is replaced rather than relamped. Plan for that if you are standardizing across a property.
7) How much light does the 15.75 inch Lacey pendant actually put out, and is one enough over an island?
884 lumens at 20.3 watts, 3000K warm white, with a flood distribution. That is accent-level output, not a task-light workhorse. Over a kitchen island most designers run two or three of them in a row, or pair them with recessed cans, rather than relying on a single pendant for work light.
8) Does the Lacey pendant meet California Title 24 for a residential job?
Title 24 compliant, yes. It is not Energy Star certified and is not Title 20 listed, so if your energy documentation calls specifically for one of those, this fixture will not satisfy it.
9) Is the WAC Lacey pendant ADA compliant for a commercial corridor?
No, the Lacey is not ADA compliant. As a hanging pendant it projects into the space, so for an ADA-governed corridor or path of travel you need a surface or flush ceiling fixture instead, or you have to hang the pendant outside the protruding-object zone.
10) What is the Lacey pendant shade made of, and will it yellow or crack like glass?
The body is aluminum and the diffuser is polycarbonate, not glass. Polycarbonate is impact resistant, which is why this one holds up better than a glass shade in a stairwell, corridor, or hospitality space where a ladder or a cart can catch it. Finish is Black Gold.
11) Can I order the Lacey pendant in 2700K or 4000K instead of 3000K?
Standard build is 3000K. Custom CCT is available by special order through WAC rather than as a stock variant, so if your spec calls for a different color temperature it becomes a lead-time item rather than an off-the-shelf pick.
