WAC Lighting 22" Tate LED Outdoor Wall Light WS-W69222

Ornate and ethereal for your home exterior, this framework styled wall luminaire softly illuminates. Brilliant ACLED illumination is emitted via an etched opal glass lens that protrudes off the body like an embossed quadrangle of light. Tate delivers light with a superior 90 color rendering index and a 3000 Kelvin correlated color temperature. Available in a 14in long or 22in long size. This LED luminaire offers a long rated life of 50,000 hours which is approximately 50 times greater than the standard incandescent bulb. Dims down beautifully with an electronic low voltage or TRIAC dimming system. Wet location listed for outdoor conditions by ETL and cETL. Designed as an ADA Compliant wall sconce, Tate is also California Title 24 certified to meet high energy efficient regulations.
  • Available in 14 inch and 22 inch sizes. Tate is a rectangular framed luminaire with an aluminum construction and an etched acrylic diffuser.
  • Tate is ADA rated and wet location listed - can be used indoor or outdoor. Can be mounted up or down to suit your application.
  • AC LED technology - no driver or transformer required. Easily fits on a pancake junction box.
  • Smooth and continuous dimming with electronic low voltage ELV or TRIAC dimmer options.

WAC Lighting WAC-WS-W69222 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Does the WAC Tate WS-W69222 outdoor wall light need a separate LED driver or transformer?
No. The Tate WS-W69222 uses AC LED technology, so there is no remote driver or transformer to find room for. It wires directly to 120V and mounts on a standard pancake junction box, which is why it works on shallow exterior walls where a driver box will not fit.
2) Will the WAC Tate LED sconce work on an ELV or TRIAC dimmer already in the wall?
Yes, Tate dims on either electronic low voltage (ELV) or TRIAC dimmers. Those are the only two control types it supports, so a 0-10V or DALI system will not drive it. If you are standardizing a building on one dimmer line, specify ELV or forward-phase TRIAC.
3) Does the Tate WS-W69222 meet California Title 24 and Title 20 requirements?
Yes on both. The Tate is Title 24 compliant and Title 20 listed, which is what California jobs require for residential outdoor lighting. It is not Energy Star certified, so if a rebate program specifically calls for Energy Star, this is not the fixture for it.
4) How much light does the 22 inch Tate put out, and how much power does it draw?
2400 lumens at 32 watts on 120V, with a flood distribution and a 3000K warm white color. The description puts color rendering at 90 CRI, so finishes and brick read true at night. Rated life is 50,000 hours.
5) Can the Tate sconce be mounted upside down to throw light downward only?
Yes, Tate is a wall mount fixture that can be installed up or down depending on whether you want the light thrown toward the soffit or down the wall. It also carries a Dark Sky designation, so down-mounting it keeps spill above the horizontal under control for ordinances that require it.
6) Can the WAC Tate WS-W69222 be used indoors, or is it outdoor only?
Both. It is rated for indoor and outdoor use, with a wet location listing and an IP65 rating, so it handles direct rain outside and also works in a shower-adjacent or covered interior application where a damp or wet rating is required.
7) What is the actual size of the 22 inch Tate, and should I use the 14 inch version instead?
The WS-W69222 measures 22 inches in height by 8 inches in width, with a 9.25 inch backplate. Tate comes in 14 inch and 22 inch lengths; the 22 inch is the one to use flanking a garage door, a tall entry, or a two-story facade where the 14 inch reads undersized. For a narrow pilaster or a side door, step down to the 14 inch.
8) What is the Tate outdoor sconce made of, and will it hold up on a coastal or high-traffic property?
The housing is aluminum with an etched acrylic diffuser rather than glass, so there is no glass to break on a multi-family breezeway or a parking-adjacent wall. The LED is integrated and included, rated 50,000 hours, so there is no relamping cycle for maintenance staff.
9) What finish and color temperature does the WS-W69222 ship in?
One configuration: black finish, 3000K warm white, ordered as WS-W69222-BK. There is no bronze or brushed option and no selectable CCT on this one, so if the other openings on the building are bronze, this will not match.
