1) Will the 27 inch Juliet vanity light work mounted vertically beside a mirror, not just horizontally above it?
It can be mounted over a vanity or used as a wall sconce, and the mounting method is listed as wall or any orientation. The fixture is 27 inches long and 5 inches high, with a 5 inch round backplate, so a vertical run beside a mirror needs 27 inches of clear wall and the junction box centered on that run.
2) Is the WS-35027 Juliet rated for a shower or a steam room?
No. The Juliet WS-35027 is damp location rated and IP44, which covers a bathroom wall or a covered exterior spot, not a wet location like inside a shower enclosure or a steam room. For those you need a wet-rated fixture.
3) What dimmer do I need for the WAC Juliet LED vanity light, and why does my existing dimmer flicker?
This fixture dims only on an electronic low voltage (ELV) dimmer, which gives smooth continuous dimming. A standard incandescent or MLV dimmer, or a TRIAC-only device, is the usual cause of flicker or a dropout at the low end. Swap in an ELV dimmer on the 120V circuit.
4) Does the Juliet WS-35027 meet California Title 24 for a bathroom remodel?
Yes. The Juliet WS-35027 is listed as both Title 20 and Title 24 compliant, which is what a California permit inspection asks for on residential bathroom lighting. It is not Energy Star listed.
