1) Does the WAC Park LED bollard need a transformer or can I wire it straight to line voltage?
This version of the Park LED bollard runs on 120V AC line voltage, so no transformer is needed. It is hardwired, with a 36 inch lead and two gel filled direct burial wire nuts in the box to splice to your supply run. Only the 12V version of the Park bollard requires a magnetic or electronic power supply, and that is a separate fixture order.
2) What dimmer works with the 120V WAC Park bollard?
On the 120V Park bollard, use a Triac or ELV dimmer. It dims smoothly and continuously down to 10 percent. Magnetic low voltage dimmers pair with the 12V version, and ELV with the 277V version, so match the dimmer to the voltage you actually ordered or you will get flicker or no dimming at all.
3) How do I mount the Park LED bollard in a concrete walkway instead of soil?
A guardian spike ships with the bollard, which handles soil and planting beds. For concrete, hardscape, or a permanent walkway set, you need the concrete pour kit, part M66-CON-KIT, ordered separately. The fixture is not reversible mount, so plan the base before the pour.
4) Will this bollard hold up in a coastal or heavy irrigation environment?
The Park bollard is cast from k-alloy aluminum, factory sealed and water tight, and carries an IP66 rating for protection against high pressure water jets. It is rated for wet locations and UL and cUL listed. Sprinkler heads, pressure washing of walkways, and driving rain are all within what the seal is built for.
5) Can I add the WAC Park bollard to an existing low voltage landscape run I already have?
Not this one. The 120V Park bollard is a line voltage fixture and has to be fed from a 120V circuit, typically in direct burial conduit or cable per local code. If your existing run is a 12V system off a transformer, you need the 12V version of the Park bollard instead. Mixing a 120V fixture onto a 12V run will not light it.
6) Does the WAC Park bollard meet California Title 24 and ADA requirements?
