1) Does the WAC Endurance WP-LED335 flood light need an external LED driver or transformer?
No. The Endurance WP-LED335 is a 120V direct wire fixture using WAC's ACLED driverless technology, so it wires straight to line voltage with no remote driver or transformer. Input is 120 VAC, 50/60Hz. That keeps the rough-in simple: a standard junction box and a 120V branch circuit.
2) Can the WP-LED335 Endurance flood be mounted on a recessed junction box, or does it need a surface box?
Either works. The fixture ships with two canopy accessories, one for surface mounted junction boxes and one for recessed junction boxes. It is a hardwired fixture and can go on a ceiling or a wall in any orientation, with a built-in level to help set it straight.
3) Will the WAC Endurance flood light hold up in an exposed outdoor location with driving rain?
Yes. The Endurance flood carries an IP66 rated, factory sealed light engine and is Wet Location rated, with ETL and cETL listings. The housing is die-cast aluminum and sealed at the factory, which is why WAC positions it for exposed wall and soffit use rather than covered-only locations.
4) Does the WP-LED335 come with a motion sensor or photocell?
No, those are separate. The fixture is sensor compatible and WAC offers the MS-120 motion sensor and PC-120 photo cell for it, both sold separately. If you want dusk-to-dawn or occupancy control on the fixture itself, add one of those to the order; otherwise plan on switching or contactor control at the panel.
5) Does the WAC WP-LED335 meet California Title 24 and Energy Star requirements?
Yes on both. The Endurance flood is Energy Star rated, CEC listed, and Title 24 compliant, which is what a California project or a utility rebate submittal usually needs. It is also Dark Sky listed for projects with outdoor light trespass rules.
6) What dimmer works with the WAC Endurance 35W flood light?
Use an ELV dimmer for smooth continuous dimming from 100 percent down to 10 percent. The fixture is also listed as TRIAC dimmable. Since it is a 120V line-voltage LED with no remote driver, the dimmer goes on the line side like any standard wall dimmer.
7) How much light does the 35W WAC Endurance flood put out compared to the halogen it replaces?
The 35W Endurance flood is rated at 2450 lumens, with delivered lumens up to 2730lm and CBCP up to 1351. It is marketed as a replacement for conventional halogen and HID sources at far lower input wattage. If you need more output on the same collection, WAC also builds a 54W PRO version.
