1) Can the WAC Endurance WP-LED127 wall pack be mounted on a ceiling or upside down, or does it have to go on a wall?
Mounting is unrestricted. The Endurance WP-LED127 is listed for ceiling or wall in any orientation, so you can aim the 20 degree forward throw up for indirect wash or down for direct illumination off the same fixture. A built-in level helps you set it square once it is on the box.
2) Will the WP-LED127 Endurance fixture mount over an existing surface-mount junction box?
Yes. A box sleeve ships with the fixture specifically for use over existing surface mount junction boxes, so a retrofit off an old HID or halogen wall pack location generally does not need the box replaced. It is a hardwired fixture, not corded.
3) Is the WAC Endurance 27W wall pack rated for a wet exterior location in driving rain?
It is wet location rated and carries ETL, cETL and an IP66 rating on a factory sealed light engine, which covers direct rain and washdown-level water plus dust. Die-cast aluminum housing. It is suitable indoors as well, so the same fixture can cover a loading dock soffit and an unconditioned interior stair.
4) Does the WP-LED127 work on 277 volt building power without a separate driver?
The driver is concealed inside the fixture and takes 120V, 240V or 277V input, so the same part number works on single-phase residential circuits and on 277V commercial lighting panels. No external driver or transformer to order.
5) Does the WP-LED127 come with a photocell or motion sensor?
No sensor is included. The fixture is photo/motion sensor compatible but the sensor is a separate order, so if the scope calls for dusk-to-dawn or occupancy control at a walkway or dock door, budget that accessory in addition to the fixture.
