1) Can the WAC Parallax FM-73142 flush mount be installed over a standard junction box, or does it need a pancake box?
Either works. The 42-inch Parallax flush mount conceals its 120V AC LED driver inside the canopy, so it mounts over a standard or pancake junction box with no remote driver location to find. The backplate measures 6 inches, so the canopy covers a typical round box opening. It is a hardwired fixture, not a plug-in.
2) How do I set the color temperature on the Parallax 3-CCT flush mount, and can it be changed after install?
There is a Tri-CCT switch inside the canopy that toggles between 2700K warm, 3000K warm white, and 3500K white. It is reachable while the canopy is off the ceiling during installation, and the fixture ships factory pre-set to 3000K. Because the switch sits behind the canopy, changing it later means pulling the fixture down again, so pick the temperature while you have it open. One useful side effect: you can stock a single part number and match 2700K on the rest of a building or 3500K in a kitchen or corridor.
3) What dimmer works with the WAC Parallax LED flush mount?
Use an electronic low voltage (ELV) or TRIAC dimmer for smooth continuous dimming. A standard incandescent/magnetic low voltage dimmer is the wrong control for this fixture and is the usual cause of flicker or a limited dim range on an integrated LED like this one.

5) Is the Parallax flush mount ADA compliant for a corridor wall?
