1) Can the WAC Parallax FM-73132 flush mount be installed over a standard junction box, or does it need a pancake box?
Either works. The Parallax FM-73132 has its 120V AC LED driver concealed in the canopy, so it mounts over a standard or pancake junction box. The backplate is 6 inches, and the fixture is hardwired, so there is no plug or cord to accommodate.
2) Can the 32 inch Parallax LED fixture be mounted on a wall as a sconce, not just the ceiling?
Yes. The 32 inch Parallax LED is rated for ceiling or wall mounting in any orientation, so it can run as an oversized sconce. It projects 2.5 inches off the surface and spans 32 inches, so leave clearance on a wall where it sits at head height.
3) How do you change the color temperature on the WAC Parallax FM-73132?
There is a Tri-CCT switch inside the canopy, reachable during installation, that toggles 2700K, 3000K, or 3500K. It ships factory set to 3000K. Set it before you button up the canopy, because once the fixture is on the box the switch is no longer accessible.
4) Will the Parallax FM-73132 work on my existing dimmer?
It dims with an electronic low voltage (ELV) or TRIAC dimmer only. A standard incandescent/magnetic low-voltage dimmer or a 0-10V control will not drive it properly. The onboard driver is 120V, 23W, so also check your dimmer's minimum load if you are putting a single fixture on it.
