WAC line voltage puck lights feature 3-CCT selectable technology that allows you to toggle between 2700K-3000K-3500K with quality illumination for all tasks. Available in multiple finishes. Can be recessed or surface mounted and hardwired or installed with a plug and cord. Order a single puck or kits of multiple pucks to link together.
  • 6ft power plug with roll switch for easy on/off toggle. Available in white or black finish options.
  • Puck Lights can be purchased in four configurations with a maximum of up to 20 pucks per run. HR-AC70 - Single Light with single connector. HR-AC72 - Single light with double connector. 1) What does the WAC HR-PC6 power cord do for a line voltage puck light?
The HR-PC6 is a 6ft power plug with a roll switch, so a run of WAC line voltage puck lights can be plugged into a receptacle and toggled on and off at the cord instead of being hardwired to a wall switch. It is the cord used on the HR-AC71 configuration, and it is what makes the run portable rather than fixed.
2) Do I need this cord if I'm hardwiring WAC puck lights under cabinets?
No. WAC line voltage pucks can be recessed or surface mounted and hardwired or run with a plug and cord, so the HR-PC6 is only needed for the plug-in method. If the cabinet has a junction box and you're feeding the run from a switched circuit, skip the cord. Buy it when the only power available is a receptacle inside or behind the cabinet, or when the tenant wants a switch at the light.
3) How many WAC puck lights can I run off one HR-PC6 power cord?
Up to 20 pucks per run. The pucks link together with connectors on the fixtures themselves, and the cord feeds the run. Order the pucks in the configuration that suits the layout: HR-AC70 single light with a single connector, HR-AC72 single light with a double connector, HR-AC71 single light already supplied with the 6ft roll switch cord, or the HR-AC73 kit of two HR-AC72 plus one HR-AC71.
4) The 6ft cord doesn't reach my first puck light. What do I add?
Use WAC HR-IC joiner cables. They come in 12in, 24in, and 36in lengths and can extend the run from the power cable to the puck light, as well as increase spacing between pucks. Chain the length you need rather than moving the receptacle.
5) Can I dim WAC line voltage puck lights that are plugged in with the roll switch cord?
The pucks dim with an electronic low voltage (ELV) or TRIAC dimmer, down to 10 percent with ELV and 5 percent with TRIAC. The roll switch on the cord is on/off only, so the dimmer has to be on the circuit feeding the receptacle. If you want dimming, plan a dimmable receptacle circuit before you commit to the plug-in method.
6) Can WAC puck lights with this cord be installed in a bathroom vanity or a covered outdoor kitchen?
They are rated for damp locations and are ETL and cETL listed for damp, and the location rating is indoor/outdoor covered. That covers a vanity, a covered porch, or a covered outdoor kitchen. It does not cover a location exposed to direct rain or spray, which needs a wet-rated fixture.
7) Does the WAC line voltage puck light system meet California Title 24?
Yes, it is CEC listed and Title 24 compliant, which is what a California job needs for residential and commercial lighting compliance. It is also listed as ADA compliant. It does not carry Energy Star.
8) What finishes does the WAC HR-PC6 power cord come in, and will it match my pucks?
