1) Will the HR-AC71 puck light work on a standard dimmer?
It dims on ELV or TRIAC dimmers. TRIAC is the common forward phase wall dimmer, ELV is reverse phase. Because the fixture is cord and plug connected through a roll switch, a wall dimmer only controls it if the receptacle it plugs into is switched and dimmed. Do not put it on a 0-10V or magnetic low voltage dimmer.
2) Can a WAC HR-AC71 puck light be used in a covered outdoor kitchen or a bathroom?
Damp rated, so a covered porch, a covered outdoor kitchen, a bath or a laundry is fine. It is not wet location rated, so no direct rain, no spray, and nothing open to the weather. The housing is die cast aluminum with a white acrylic diffuser, which is what lets it take the humidity.
3) Does the WAC HR-AC71 puck light meet California Title 24?
Yes, it is Title 24 compliant and CEC listed, which is what a California inspector looks for on a residential lighting permit. It is also ADA compliant, so it can go in a corridor or bath in a facility where projection limits apply. It is not Energy Star rated, so if a utility rebate program requires Energy Star specifically, this one will not qualify for it.
4) Is the WAC HR-AC71 puck light bright enough to light a kitchen counter?
