WAC Lighting EN-2420D-P-BK – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Does the WAC Mini Puck 24V power supply plug in or does it have to be hardwired?
It is a plug-in supply, so no junction box or electrician hookup is required. Input is rated 120-240V, which means it works on standard North American 120V circuits and on 208/240V service as well.
2) Can the WAC Mini Puck power supply be used in a bathroom or a covered outdoor kitchen?
Indoor only, with a damp location rating. A damp rating covers a bathroom vanity or a kitchen where moisture is in the air, but not a location exposed to direct water or weather. For a covered outdoor kitchen you need a wet location rated supply instead.
3) Is the WAC Mini Puck power supply UL listed for commercial jobs?
Carries UL and cUL certification, so it is accepted on both US and Canadian projects. It is not Energy Star qualified and is not CEC listed, which matters if you are specifying into a California Title 24 job or chasing a utility rebate.
4) Which lights does the WAC EN-2420D-P power supply run?
It is the 24V AC/DC supply for WAC's Mini Puck collection of LED puck lights. Match it to 24V Mini Puck fixtures, not to 12V undercabinet pucks or line-voltage fixtures.
5) Will the WAC Mini Puck power supply hide inside a cabinet or behind a toe kick?
It is small enough to tuck away: 2.75 inches long, 1.25 inches high, with a 1.5 inch extension. That fits inside most upper cabinets, under a shelf, or behind a valance without being visible from the room.
6) What finishes does the Mini Puck 24V power supply come in, and does the color matter?
Two finishes, black (EN-2420D-P-BK) and white (EN-2420D-P-WT). Since the supply usually sits out of sight, pick the one that blends with the cabinet interior or the puck lights themselves. The housing is polycarbonate in both.
