1) Will the WAC Mini Puck HR-LED10/6 run off standard 120V house wiring?
No. The Mini Puck runs on 24V, so it needs a 24V AC or DC power supply between it and line voltage. Wire it to a 24V driver or transformer sized for the load. Each puck draws 2W and the 6-puck set tops out at 12W, so a 24V supply rated above 12W covers the full run.
2) How deep does the Mini Puck sit, and will it fit under a shallow cabinet or in a tight cove?
It is a very low-profile puck: 1.38 inches in diameter and 0.63 inches high. That fits inside most cabinet toe kicks, shelf undersides and cove details without a recessed pocket. The mounting method is open, so it can be surface mounted in any orientation.
3) Can these puck lights go in a bathroom or a covered exterior soffit?
Damp location rated and indoor only, with an IP20 enclosure. That covers a bathroom vanity or a kitchen where the fixture is not directly wetted. It is not for wet locations or an exposed exterior soffit that sees rain or spray.
4) What dimmer works with WAC 24V Mini Puck lights?
Use an ELV (electronic low voltage) or TRIAC dimmer. Dimming happens on the line side of the 24V driver, so the driver itself has to be the matching dimmable type. A standard incandescent-only or 0-10V control is the wrong choice here.
5) Will these pucks meet California Title 24 for a kitchen remodel?
Yes. The Mini Puck is Title 24 compliant and CEC listed, which is what a California inspector looks for on residential under-cabinet and accent lighting. It also carries ETL and cETL safety listings and is ADA compliant, useful when a fixture sits on a wall or cove within reach.
