WAC Lighting WACLED-TO24-WS – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What does the WAC Lighting LED-TO24-WS wireless remote actually control?
It's a handheld wireless remote for WAC Lighting's InvisiLED 24V RGB Color Changing Tape Light system. It operates all the features and functions of the RGB master controller without a wired connection, so you can change colors and modes from across the room instead of at the controller itself.
2) Will the LED-TO24-WS remote work with my existing WAC tape light controller?
Only with the WAC Lighting LED-TC-CTR-MSD master controller for InvisiLED 24V RGB Color Changing Tape Light. That is the one pairing the remote is built for. If your run uses a different WAC controller or a single-color (non-RGB) tape light system, this remote will not drive it.
3) How far away can I be from the controller and still use the WAC wireless remote?
Up to 75 feet, and that figure assumes a clear path between the remote and the master controller. Walls, cabinetry, or a metal enclosure around the controller will cut the range down, so if the controller is being tucked inside a soffit or a metal junction box, plan on operating closer than the full 75 feet.
4) Does the WAC LED-TO24-WS remote need wiring or batteries?
No wiring. It runs on 2 AAA batteries, which are the only power it needs. All the low-voltage work happens at the master controller and the 24V tape light; the remote is a standalone handheld transmitter.
5) Can this WAC RGB remote be used in a bathroom, kitchen backsplash, or covered outdoor area?
It is UL and cUL Listed for damp locations, so a bath, a covered porch, or a kitchen cove is within its rating. Damp is not the same as wet, so keep it out of direct rain or anywhere it would take standing water or direct spray.
6) Is the LED-TO24-WS a light fixture or just an accessory?
It is an accessory only, not a luminaire. The LED-TO24-WS is part of WAC Lighting's connectors and accessories line for the InvisiLED RGB Color Changing Tape Light system, so you still need the tape light, the power supply, and the RGB master controller to have a working installation.
