WAC Lighting MT-216LED-WT/WT – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Does the WAC Lighting MT-216LED trim come with lamps, or do I need to order MR16 bulbs separately?
Lamps are included. The MT-216LED ships as a two-light low voltage trim with LED MR16 lamps supplied, so you are not buying bulbs on top of the trim. Total draw is 14W.
2) Is the MT-216LED a complete recessed fixture or just the trim?
It is the trim assembly with the two adjustable LED MR16 heads and lamps, not a housing. It is a low voltage recessed trim, so the matching WAC recessed housing and low voltage supply are the rest of the order.
3) How far does the MT-216LED recessed trim stand off the ceiling?
It sits essentially flat. The trim version has a 1/4 inch low profile and the Invisible Trim design sits flush to the ceiling, so in a finished space you see the square face and the two adjustable heads rather than a proud ring.
4) Can I aim the two heads in the MT-216LED square trim at different spots?
Yes, that is the point of it. The MT-216LED is an adjustable multiple-spot trim with two aimable low voltage heads in one square opening, so you can cross-light artwork, a counter run, or two separate targets from a single ceiling cut instead of installing two fixtures.
5) Can I swap the clear lens on the MT-216LED for a diffuser or spread lens?
The supplied clear glass lens is removable and can be replaced with a variety of lenses or accessories, so beam softening or spreading is handled with an accessory lens rather than by changing the lamp.
6) What finish does the WAC MT-216LED multi light trim come in?
One finish combination: White trim with white interior, ordered as MT-216LED-WT/WT. If your other recessed openings in the room are white, this matches without a special order.
7) Is the MT-216LED trim metal or plastic?
Stamped metal. The trim body is stamped metal construction with a clear glass lens, which is what you want where the heads get handled and re-aimed during tenant turns.
